Hello,
Does anyone know whether there was an officer named Mantsch in Romanian service in July 1941? It might have been a German officer, but I didn't find any German officer of this name. Since he commanded a battlegroup in Armata 4 sector (south of Corpul 3 Armata's Divizia 15 Infanterie) along the Pruth river, I try to identify him in the Romanian ranks. He should have been a senior officer (maior, locotenent-colonel or even colonel) because his battlegroup was a regimental-sized one. Multumesc! Skarn |
