Hello there,
I am a game modder and currently working on romanian units for a Company of Heroes Mod ( yes, pretty old game, I know ) Although I read through the website a lot and find the topic of the romanians during Fall Blau and Stalingrad very interesting, I still have some questions about their equipment: 1) I found a large variety of AT and Artillery guns the romanian Army used ... and I am afraid I cant model them all... :-D So which models would be the most common in 3rd and 4th Army back then? for the 47mm AT guns and 75mm Artillery ? 2) Didnt find any useful source for handgrenade types.. did Romania produce its own or did they use foreign models? and if so, which ones ? Any help is much appreciated. |

Unique for Romania would be this one with Romania as the only user:
https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tun_antitanc_...7_mm_model_1936 https://www.quartermastersection.com/romani...ry/941/4.7cmM36 Breda/Bohler were also used: https://www.worldwar2.ro/arme/?article=293 Some 50 mm PAKs were also received from Germans and from fall of 1942 first batches of 75 mm AT guns arrived: https://www.worldwar2.ro/arme/?article=298 You can also find some info here: https://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=241989 For 75 mm field artillery, here is a good article: http://www.avalanchepress.com/RomanianArtillery2.php See Romanian service for Mle 897 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_de_75_mod%C3%A8le_1897 In short, Romania upgraded old WW1 pieces (Schneider-Putilov, mle 97, Krupp) with local barrels and ammo, including AT ammo such as Costinescu round. For grenades I think beside the German models were in use Czechoslovak made Keyser offensive and defensive and Romanian made MAN md. 1938 (also offensive and defensive) |
