I want to know what hell of weapons carried the romanian PZL P24E, because some sources say 2 7.92mm + 2 20mm, other say 4 7.92 mm, and other a mix of this two + 4 bombs of 10kg (12,5 from other).
Can somebody make little light ? Leo. |

I believe I already sent you an answer privatelly regarding this topic.
According to my sources, the P.Z.L. P.24E in ARR service had only a pair of 7.92mm FN Browning machine guns. Later, grenade launchers were fitted under the wings for small calibre bombs/grenades. Provisions for two 20mm cannon existed originally, but the armament was not actually fitted to the wings. |

From several pictures from Denes's book "Rumanian aces of ww2" all PZL 24E had only two machine guns in the wings (7,92 mm)
I read in the book "Le grand livre des chasseurs" that only the PZL 24A had two machine guns 7,92 mm and two 20 mm Oerlikon type canons. The E type is not described... Yours, BM |
