Do you have any information about the equipment they have used, I'm speaking about individual weapons, artillery, etc.. Was it somehow captured equipment from the former Austro-Hungarian and German armies, or was it sent from the weapons depots from Moldova? I anticipated to be the last version, isn't it?

In terms of uniforms some of romanian transylvanian divisions were equiped with uniforms from romanian army, thought not all I think was romanian (it could be also american and british uniforms). For sure some units fought in the hungarian uniforms they had in 1918. As armament what I can cite from memory is some russian captured self-propelled artillery.

Can you give me details on this vehicle? It sounds remarkable for 1918.

Denes, here are 2 photos of romanian self-propelled artilery

http://postimage.org/image/gc7i9dvmd/ They equiped exclusivly romanian transylvanian volunteers. The photo is taken on Tisa front in 1919. There is another photo showing this artilery in Oradea on a parade prior to start to the front. I have this photo in my colection, if I'll find it I'll post it here.

On the driver's door can be seen the russian military markings. It is not known when this self-propeled guns entered in romanian posesion, a suposition is that they were captured after rusian front colapsed under bolsevic revolution. The guns were taken into custody by romanian army and were given to romanian transylvanian volunteers. They were a total of 2 bateries.

The trucks were of american manufacture (White), the guns were Schneider-Putilov caliber 76,2 mm with antiaircraft role, but employed in ground targets by romanians.

The soldier on the right side of the driver is a romanian transylvanian volunteer typically dressed in hungarian uniform, with a romanian "capela".

I'll have to check the reference. It is either my typo mistake or the source pointed a wrong unit.

Who is curious to see today a Schneider-Putilov caliber 76,2 mm / model 1902 should go to the National Military Museum / Muzeul Militar National - Bucharest.
