Thank you for your help. This is all most interesting to me. I do wish I could find more information, i.e., books... on the Romanian Army during WW1 and WW2, especially WW2. (IN ENGLISH)
There is more than enough info in this site to publish multiple books in english relating to Romania in WW2

A very good - albeit slightly biased - English-language book written on Rumania's participation in W.W. 2 is authored by Mark Axworthy. It was published by Arms and Armour, in the UK, in 1995 (it's out of print, though).

Unfortunatelly I don't have the source any more, but I have read that in the summer 1942 there were plans that Antonescu would be appointed commander of the group of German-Romanian forces concentrated in the Don area (where Army Group B was acting), the new army group having to be named Army Group Antonescu. Does anyone has more info on this?

Dragos, i do remember about it and i think i read it in the book "Infranti si uitati, romanii in batalia Stalingradului" by Otu and.... Or maybe in the von Manstein's memoirs???

Try at least the first book.

The book is "De la Stalingrad la batalia Moldovei (august 1942 - august 1944)", by ANVR, 1997.

The Army Group "Marshal Antonescu" had to be formed in autumn 1942, having under command the 3rd and 4th Romanian Armies. Because of the disagreements between the German and the Romanian commands at the Don's bend, this army group was never created.

Most books have been unavailable. A couple I did find but were very expensive. I need to know a book is really good for $150.00 or more... I hate to pay more than $70.00 for any book.

Except for the bullshit Communist propaganda and the large white spots, "forgotten" by the authors.
