Other ''hard'' question is that somebody know what type of DFS 230 glider Romania have in the war. It seems the entering years is 1943 but I'm unable to find more. Leo. |

I didn't quite understand your question regarding the 'type' of the DFS 230 transport glider. If you're referring to the sub-type, based on German records they were A-1 and B-1 (possibly, a few dual-command versions, A-2 and B-2, were also supplied).
The first batch of 15 DFS 230s arrived in Rumania at the end of November 1942, on flatbed trains, disassembled in main parts. The type entered actual ARR service in early 1943. An estimated total of 38 DFS 230s arrived to Rumania, the last units being captured by the Red Army still in their transport crates in late August 1944. |
