Dear friends,

Although I have found this map (annexed to Bucharest Peace Treaty in spring 1918), it is pretty general and not detailed in accordance with the articles of the treaty. Does anyone know where I can find the detailed map?

Thanks a lot.

Sorry for delay.

The map can be found at this link:

http://terkepek.adatbank.transindex.ro/kepek/netre/120.gif

and tke text of the treaty here:

http://www.mtholyoke.edu/acad/intrel/routreat.html.

I am interested in article XI of the Treaty at this point:

"...1 kilometer east of point 737, across point 704, 716, S of inscription Hirja, the southwest shore of Harja, military post 962, military post 3 kilometers northwest thereof (all aforementioned points going to Hungary). "

Thanks a lot,

Cipri

Maybe this map will help you. With dotted line, the boundary of Romania after the treaty of Bucharest (7 May, 1918).

Thank you for the map, Niculae, it is a good part of what I wanted. I cropped from your map the point the zone of interest for me. As I noticed, the border was moved some kilometers towards east.
Now, about this quote:

"...1 kilometer east of point 737, across point 704, 716, S of inscription Hirja, the southwest shore of Harja, military post 962, military post 3 kilometers northwest thereof (all aforementioned points going to Hungary). "

Harja is a village in Oituz valley, between Poiana Sarata and Ferastrau. The former border was at the eatern point of Poiana Sarata village and it was moved eastwards. I wonder if I could find somewhere those points: 737, 704, 716 and so on. I presume there is somewhere a detailed mapm maybe annexed to the Treaty.

Thanks a lot!

Was there any reason to push the border further back around Suceava?
