The picture with the "Heinkel fighter" is a propaganda picture ,of a fighter that realy never existed.Gobbels tried to convince that the He 100 is He 113 (dayand night fighter).
The 100 was flowen by Udet to a speed record of 735km/h. He had an inovative surface-evaporation cooling sistem,insted of a radiator, The pilots disliked them because of the high wing loading. No mass production were ordered and six prototipes were sold to the Soviet Union and three to Japan. The guy from the picture below is Werner Molders. |
